Grace Lutheran Church
Join us for worship!
Christ Centered. Community Caring. Committed to Discipleship.
From Interim Senior Pastor Scott Olson on Gathering in Person at Grace:
It is with deep disappointment, yet out of love for our neighbor, that we are suspending indefinitely in-person worship beginning November 29.
There will be no in-person worship service Christmas Eve.
Worship services will continue to be livestreamed on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFkgIdMrLPydPPPrwMptEPQ/videos?view=57<https://wasecagracelutheran.us9.list-manage.com/track/click?u=258de5d20124073ff92a6db6c&id=2777d72f3f&e=f8d70672ac>.
Although we believe we have created the safest possible environment, several factors have led to this decision:
1. The continuing surge of infections that threaten to overwhelm our health care system.
2. The decision of the Waseca school board and surrounding districts to suspend in-person learning.
3. Gov. Walz' heightened restrictions and pleas for safe gatherings.
4. ELCA congregations in our area are making similar decisions.
Even thought Gov. Watz' restrictions don't affect faith communities, we believe that loving our neighbor propels us to this decision.
We will use similar previously established criteria when deciding to re-open safely. Please keep watching for updates.
Meanwhile, as always, you who are "the church" are not closed. Children, youth, the hungry, and those in need continue to be cared for. We may be scattered, but we're not shattered.
In these difficult times we cling to Jesus' final words in Matthew 28: "Lo, I am with you always to the end of the age." Peace and health be with you all.
In Christ's Love,
Pastor Scott Olson

Join us in caroling virtually!
Maybe we can't sing together, but we can sing "together" virtually! As the song says "We need a little Christmas" and this is one way to both claim and share the holiday spirit. Everyone is invited to join us in recording yourself and/or your family singing these beloved carols. We'll put it all together for a video presentation to be shown later in December. The information you need to record can be found on the Grace Lutheran website: https://www.wasecagracelutheran.com/grace-musicians. There's a sample video on this page as well, to show what the final video will look like. Lots of room for more groups and individuals.
Please submit your video by Sunday, December 6th. We're excited to see all of you caroling with us!
Thank you for visiting our website!
Come as you are to worship and share the good news that we all, as children of God, are forgiven and given new life through the life, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ!
