Vision:
Shaping our Study

Grace Lutheran Church is Christ Centered, Community Caring, and Committed to Discipleship.

What does it mean to be “Christ centered”?  It means that everything that we do will be focused on the good news of Jesus Christ.  Everything from worship, educational opportunities, mission projects, and times of fellowship will be intentionally focused on the redeeming power of Jesus Christ and his love for us.

What does it mean to be “community caring”?   It means that, by living our lives in the love of Christ and in our calling as baptized members of the priesthood of all believers, Grace will continue to work on becoming a more outwardly focused congregation.   Ministry will continue to happen within the walls of our church, but we will continue to look for ways in which we can live out calling in the wider community of Waseca, the state, the country, and the world.  This will happen through both through established and new ministries of the congregation.

Finally, what does it mean to be “committed to discipleship”?  It means that we will work with and pray with every member of the congregation to continue develop as a disciple of Christ.   We will continue to encourage people to engage in prayer, to study the Bible, and to engage in weekly worship.  We will encourage and promote service opportunities both inside and outside of the congregation.  We will also continue to teach biblically-based principles of giving in terms of our time, talents, and treasures. We do this to become closer to God, not for our salvation.  We do this so we can live more fulfilling lives.
